A Legacy of Growth
The foundation of Pepper Construction was formed in 1927 by Stanley F. Pepper. Early clients included such Chicago icons as The Merchandise Mart, Kroch's and Brentano's bookstore and Marshall Field's.
In 1957, Stanley's son, Richard assumed leadership. Over the next 45 years, Pepper expanded into Texas (1983) and Indiana (1990), and built landmark buildings for such clients as Ameritech, A.C. Nielsen, Allstate, Tellabs, the Shedd Oceanarium and more.
As the company turned 75 years old, 2003 saw a third generation of the Pepper family assume leadership. With Dave Pepper at the helm, Pepper has reinforced its status as the Midwest's premier construction company. Now in our 81st year, total annual revenues exceed $1.2 billion, and Pepper is proud to serve client from offices in Texas, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
