OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) set out to not only repair their 35-year-old headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, but they also wanted to purposefully update the environment to support a vibrant, innovative space for their staff and member libraries.

OCLC is a leading provider of technologies that serve libraries around the world. Libraries nationwide have been undergoing renovations as a part of their mission and service to their communities. By incorporating community spaces and advanced technologies, these new libraries better support both the community and library personnel. The renovations at the OCLC headquarters also reflect this kind of change.

This phased renovation featured updates to the main four-story atrium including skylight replacement, the addition of a full sprinkler system, additional lighting, the rework of all atrium drywall ceilings and the addition of a floating stairway. The renovation also included new building entrances, conference rooms, a library, a kitchen, dining areas and elevators. The project was completed while the building remained fully operational to all 650+ employees and staff.
