The new Liebman Center at McHenry County College is a space that helps to prepare all students for a successful future with special focus on careers in STEM fields. The new state-of-the-art facility supports existing science programs such as biology, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, earth science and meteorology, and physics and engineering. The 40,867- square-foot, two-story building contains a cadaver lab, various science labs, two lecture halls, student resource lab, prep rooms and a 720-square-foot planetarium.

The building is certified LEED Gold, with features dedicated to energy savings, water efficiency, emissions reduction and indoor environmental quality. This project represents the continuation of Pepper's relationship with McHenry County College, which began in 2012.

Additional features include the following:

- Teaching lab spaces for earth science programs

- Circulatory connection to an existing building that allows students to travel between the two spaces

- A 45-seat planetarium

- An outdoor Geoscene wall, which is only the third of its kind in the country, that serves as an earth science visual teaching tool
