Community involvement
Dog-ready-for-adoption

Do you have a heart for animals? So do we. At Pepper, we kicked off the month of July by taking time during our day to volunteer at the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society. It was an idea that originated with a group of employees and grew into a company-supported event.

30 of our employees, full-time and interns, spent the day creating enrichment items for the dogs and cats in their facility. Our handiwork delivered 20 dog and cat beds, 80 dog tug toys, 40 cat cork toys, and 20 cat nip toys. Following our volunteer time, we toured the facility and got to know some of the adoptable dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes. Colleagues who were unable to attend the event could still participate by donating materials like old cotton t-shirts,  fabric and corks that were used to craft the animal's enrichment items.

At Pepper, we support our employees' involvement in our community and find ways to help them give back. It's part of our vision to create a better future.

The Anti-Cruelty Society works to raise awareness about the needs of animals. They provide treatment and rehabilitation as well as classes, low-cost spay and neuter services, animal adoption and a free behavior helpline. They aim to promote responsible pet ownership and collaborate to help animals find peace, comfort and happiness. If you're interested in helping the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society, consider volunteering, fostering an animal, or collecting donations. Visit their website for more information: https://anticruelty.org/
