Transition taps established leaders, setting a foundation for continued growth

Pepper Construction Group today announced that the company has put in place the next generation of operational leadership for the company with three key promotions.

Ken Egidi has been promoted to President of Pepper Construction Group, Scot Pepper has been promoted to President of Pepper Construction's Illinois and Wisconsin operations and Jake Pepper has been promoted to Executive Vice President leading the company's Barrington, Illinois operations.

Ken Egidi

As President of Pepper Construction Group, Ken provides leadership and strategic support for all the company's locations in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin. Previously, Ken served as President of Pepper Construction Company, where over the course of 34 years he worked with leadership across the company to establish a culture of excellence. He joined Pepper in 1986 and managed projects in a wide variety of markets before being appointed Senior Vice President/General Manager of Pepper’s Chicago office in 1998. In 2002, he was named President and COO and served in a variety of leadership roles before being named Chairman in 2011.

Scot Pepper

As President of Pepper Construction, Scot provides strategic oversight and support for every aspect of the organization's locations in Illinois and Wisconsin. Scot joined the company in 1989 and previously served as Executive Vice President leading the firm's Chicago operations, maintaining the company's tradition of developing strong, long-term relationships with owners, developers, architects and trade partners. Scot has led many departments within the organization, including Safety, Marketing and Integrated Construction Services, a group which he founded in 2015. He serves the community on the boards of the Associated Colleges of Illinois, the Chicago Architectural Foundation, the Chicago Children’s Theatre, the Metropolitan Planning Council and Lake Forest Country Day School.  Scot earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology and building construction from the University of Wisconsin/Stout.

Jake Pepper

As Executive Vice President of Pepper Construction Company, Jake oversees the firm's Barrington, Illinois, operations. In addition to his new role, Jake will continue to lead Pepper's Integrated Construction Services, working with the company's Technical, High Performance and Preconstruction Services teams across the company to explore and apply new, industry-leading technologies on projects.   He joined the company as a Project Manager in 2013, after beginning his career in engineering and finance. Jake earned his MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business. In addition to serving as a guest speaker for the Masters of Project Management program at Northwestern, he is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and is an advocate for new technologies within the built environment.
