The Draper, at 5050 N Broadway, is conveniently located close to the Red line CTA as well as the shops and restaurants that make up the Uptown neighborhood. Formerly an office building, built in the 1950s, The Draper has been converted into sleek apartments inspired by its original mid-century modern design.

The building includes a multi-level fitness center, co-working space, outdoor pool, dog run, courtyard, bar, restaurant and theater space. In addition, the 358,000-square-foot complex features 30,000 square feet of first-floor retail space.

The work involved removing the exterior skin on all three buildings and gutting the interior down to the core. The entire building was then reclad in glass window wall, metal panel, EIFS and brick veneer. In addition, we incorporated an entirely new infrastructure.
