Student athletes are known for their tough schedules, constantly in a time crunch between their academic and athletic responsibilities. When NIU had a vision of a facility to create well-balanced student athletes, they looked to Pepper to make it a reality. The two-story, 60,000-square-foot facility is located at the north end zone of the NIU Huskies Football Stadium. The center includes an academic support area with one-on-one tutorial rooms, a group study room and fully-equipped computer labs. The facility also includes athletic training, rehabilitation and a strength and conditioning exercise center. In addition, the building houses coachs’ offices and meetings room, ensuring student athletes can train, study and speak with coaches, all in one place.
