Faced with growing operational needs, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois needed to expand their data center facility. Within ten months, Pepper not only added a 42,000 square-foot shell and core expansion, but also updated the original facilities with new technology to ensure maximum efficiency.

Upgrades for Efficiency
The expansion included updates to the entire facility, including a 26,000 square-foot raised floor area with Very Intelligent Early Warning system technology above and below, an indoor EPA Tier 2 generator with remote radiator, installation of updraft air distribution from perimeter A/C units, and a Liebert SiteScan power management system.
