Located at the intersection of North Water and East Wells streets, the new BMO Tower's contemporary design is a striking addition to Milwaukee's urban core. It also complements BMO's previous home next door at 770 N. Water Street, which was sold to BMO Tower's developer, Irgens. The intention is to renovate the 52-year-old 770 property to further enhance the mixed-use attributes of the Tower with additional retail spaces, a food hall, upscale restaurant and refreshed Class A offices.
The new 25-story, 380,0000-square-foot office building already includes more than 20,000 square feet of retail space. After being engaged with creating several tenant office spaces as well as the BMO Harris branch bank located on the ground floor, Irgens asked Pepper to take over completion of the tower and its interior common spaces from the original general contractor.
The BMO Tower has made a considerable impression on the city's skyline and was selected as the Milwaukee Business Journal's 2021 Project of the Year. It also earned a 2021 Mayor's Design Award.
