As a construction company working primarily in the Midwest while also serving our clients' needs across the country, we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live and work. This year, our offices have again chosen several local organizations to receive our financial support.
These groups promote diversity, share fresh, nutritious food, support learning and mentorship for young people, broaden horizons through unique experiences, provide shelter and resources for thousands of people in their neighborhoods and generally make our world a better place. Chicago Fire Foundation - The Chicago Fire's goal on the field is to play hard and win. Its goal off the field is to contribute to the quality of life in Chicago and its surrounding communities. Through the Chicago Fire Foundation, the Fire is able to leveraging its resources and expertise around soccer to provide sports-based youth development and direct-service programs to underserved Chicagoland communities. Pinson Hospital Hospitality House - Pinson Hospital Hospitality House provides low-cost medical housing and other supportive services for caregivers and their critically-ill patients seeking life-saving treatment primarily in the four focus areas of cancer, transplants, pediatrics (including NICU) and trauma. Acts Housing - Acts Housing families help create vibrant neighborhoods through homeownership. In person and online, the organization provides homebuyer and financial coaching, lending and real estate services, as well as renovation coaching for those who decide to take on a fixer-upper. Their goal is to help individuals and families become ready to buy. As a real estate brokerage, Acts represents families in the purchase of homes for owner occupancy, helps them plan and execute home rehabilitation with a focus on reclaiming vacant foreclosures and provides mortgage loans to help make those projects possible. Bernie’s Book Bank - Bernie’s Book Bank creates pathways to success through book ownership, empowering children to gain knowledge, explore new ideas and strengthen reading skills. Reading is the single most important skill a child needs. Yet many children lack access to books, especially books of their own. That is why Bernie’s Book Bank provides free quality books to local children to help build their personal libraries. These initiatives spark curiosity and nurture creativity in young minds. By connecting kids with professionals from various industries, Kids Building Wisconsin broadens their horizons and encourages them to consider careers in these fields. Logan’s Heart and Smiles - Logan's Heart and Smiles is dedicated to improving homes and inspiring hope for families with children with special needs across Wisconsin. The challenges families face in keeping up with their daily lives as well as the financial pressures associated with medical bills, equipment and therapy can be overwhelming. When families do not have the resources required to make necessary safety and accessibility modifications to their homes, they often have nowhere to turn for help. Mid-Ohio Food Collective - Mid-Ohio Food Collective is ending hunger today, tomorrow and for a lifetime.
