The Allison Transmission Innovation Center is a completed 102,285-square-foot, multi-phased facility designed to support innovation, collaboration and advanced engineering. Delivered through a carefully sequenced construction approach, the project combined extensive site development with a modern, flexible building designed to accommodate future growth. Phase one of the project included comprehensive sitework and utilities, mass excavation, grading, installation of piped utilities, direct boring of well water piping and construction of a retention pond. Phase two followed with construction of a four-story core and shell building topped with a durable TPO roof system. During construction, the project expanded to include additional scopes. Phase three encompassed installation of underground utilities and storm piping, while phase four completed the interior buildout. The finished interior features an elevator, office spaces, a café and kitchen and a dedicated vehicle display area that highlights Allison Transmission’s innovation and product capabilities. This completed Innovation Center provides Allison Transmission with a purpose-built environment that supports collaboration, showcases technology and advances research and development efforts.
