Rich Township High School District 227 expanded its campus with an 18,400-square-foot addition that brings hands-on learning spaces and a new front door to the school community.
The addition houses four specialized labs: an automotive lab, a construction lab, an aviation lab complete with two flight simulators and a botany/horticulture lab. These spaces give students direct access to career-focused, experiential learning within their own school building.
At the heart of the addition is a new main entrance that transforms how students, faculty and visitors arrive at the school. Positioned at the center of the facility, the new entry opens into a welcoming vestibule, a community space and a trophy hall that celebrates the school’s history and pride.
