The Cummins Olympia 2.0 Facility Expansion is an 86,000-square-foot addition to the existing Cummins Olympia (OLY) campus in Walesboro, Indiana. Currently under construction, the fuel-agnostic facility is being designed to support next-generation power and vehicle testing. The expansion will include a first-floor technical equipment area, a second-floor mechanical level and three advanced test cells: a heavy-duty chassis dynamometer, a straight-line powertrain cell and an anechoic cell for acoustic testing. Key innovations include a heavy-duty chassis dynamometer for full-vehicle testing, enhanced electrical and power systems to support evolving research demands and a sustainable geothermal well system to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance.
