Indy 25th anniversary, Emerging technology, Virtual construction & technology, High performance & sustainability, Community involvement

As our 25th anniversary celebration comes to a close, we recognize that we can't rest on just the reputation we've built to date. Our history is important to the foundation of how we work, and we will continue to build on that to make our industry better. As our industry evolves, we're aligning our efforts to lead our clients with the latest trends and technologies that benefit them, while continuing to give back to the communities we serve.

So much of our growth has been because of our relationships with clients. They're integral to what we do, and we want to foster an even stronger environment for collaboration moving forward.

Offering high performance solutions

One way to bring additional value to our clients is through our focus on high performance construction. Pepper's dedication to our clients' well-being means it's our duty to guide them toward choices that will benefit their building and their own people. Now more than ever, sustainability is important to companies.

Our emphasis is shifting to encourage our clients to consider how responsible building practices can impact their people's health and productivity and be a smart investment in their own resources and future. Leading with new technology

Our industry is known for being slow to embrace new technology, but for the past several years, Pepper has been leading our market in testing and implementing virtual construction and technology into our projects. We already have some notable results and successes under our belt, most recently with our Underground Utilities Damage Prevention program, use of laser scanning and incorporation of augmented reality for visualization and logistics planning.

Maximizing our use of technology isn't just trendy; it helps in the planning process, creates a safer jobsite for our people and saves costs for our clients. The benefits of technology are continuously evolving. You can expect more innovation and leadership from Pepper Indiana for years to come.

A renewed commitment to our community

A major part of our anniversary celebration has been to recognize that we've built a home in Indianapolis over the last 25 years. This city is important to us, and to show that, we organized more community volunteer opportunities for our people this year than we've ever done before.

In addition to our usual campaigns, for the first time we volunteered with the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation, Humane Society of Indianapolis, United Way of Central Indiana's Snack Pack Program, an Indianapolis Public Schools community garden, The Julian Center, Indy BackPack Attack and United Way Personal Care Kits program.

And we want to keep the momentum going. Each year moving forward, Pepper plans to partner with new organizations or programs that serve our community. The volunteer opportunities will be based on recommendations from our people and where they would like to be engaged. Our people are passionate about this community, and we want that enthusiasm to translate into how we help others.

Building a future

Throughout this 25-year milestone, I've been reminded of the progress we've made – as a company, an industry and individuals. I've had moments to stop and reflect on all the things we've accomplished during our time in Indiana, and it's clear to me that we've assembled a high-caliber team. Our mission is to deliver the ultimate experience to everyone we work with, and we believe that happens every day in seemingly small and big ways. So much of this celebration has been about recognizing Pepper Indiana's story so far, but I assure you this is only the beginning.
