After 94 years, Chicago icon Tribune Media left Tribune Tower for their new space at 303 E Wacker, providing panoramic views of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Tribune Media’s new space on the 17th floor is a mix of open plan and enclosed private offices, conference space and a video editing suite. The design of the space focuses on the company’s Chicago roots, its identity as storytellers and the idea of “moving forward,” featuring a loft-like atmosphere with open ceilings and lots of natural light.
As a broadcast and digital media company, Tribune Media required an incredible amount of audio/visual, data and communication equipment. More than 75 monitors are installed throughout the space, including in each office, conference room and open area, all requiring A/V and data connections. The team worked closely with Tribune's IT team to achieve the right data rack configurations and terminations to meet their needs.
