Broadcasting nearly 40 hours of local newscasts every week, Fox 32 WFLD needed a renovation partner who understood the stakes of working inside a fully operational facility. We delivered a two-phase renovation at 205 N. Michigan Avenue without a single interruption to live broadcasts.

Phase 1 transformed 18,810 square feet of the lower-level concourse into a modern broadcast environment, including a 4,300-square-foot newsroom, dressing rooms, edit bays, offices, conference rooms, a lunchroom and two restrooms. The work required heavy AV and acoustics coordination, and every task was carefully sequenced around the station’s live production schedule.

Phase 2 brought us back to the second floor, where we completed a full demolition of 14,000 square feet above the active studio and rebuilt the space with new MEP systems, a café, executive offices, a boardroom and conference rooms. Working directly above a live broadcast floor demanded constant, seamless coordination between our team and the station’s operations staff.

Both phases were delivered on schedule and without disruption to the station’s audience.
