This new 21,000-square-foot police station was designed and constructed to support the evolving needs of modern law enforcement, emphasizing safety, operational efficiency and public accessibility. The facility includes a range of essential spaces, including the following: open-air workstations, private offices, a reception area and lobby, a secure conference room, two temporary holding areas, a safe room and an ICC-500-compliant storm shelter for severe weather events. Staff wellness and functionality are supported with amenities, including a fitness room, breakroom and dedicated men’s and women’s locker rooms.

The project also included full site development across three separate parcels, including the police station, a future Cooper’s Hawk site and a third commercial parcel. Pepper Construction performed all site work across the development, which required installation of a solider pile retaining wall and an underground detention system. A solar canopy was added over the police vehicle parking area, inspired by a similar installation at Pepper’s own office. This sustainable solution matched the cost of a traditional canopy while providing long-term energy savings and eligibility for an energy tax credit.
