RefugeeOne has provided refugees fleeing war, terror and persecution with a full range of services and support since 1982. For the first time in the organization’s 40-year history, we helped them bring all of those services under one roof.
The new three-story, 16,000-square-foot building in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood houses space for English language and computer training, job placement, mental health care, youth programs, mentoring, citizenship services and dental care. The concrete-framed structure gives the organization room to grow and serve Chicago’s expanding refugee population, including Afghan and Ukrainian communities, from a single, purpose-built home.
