Harper College prepares students for careers in emergency services, from paramedics to firefighters. We built the facility where that training happens. The new 9,780-square-foot cast-in-place training tower gives students and local first responders a purpose-built environment to practice the skills that matter most. The building includes two specialized rooms equipped with burn props for fire suppression training, along with dedicated areas for training on building ventilation systems, high-rise rescue and search and rescue. Beyond Harper College students pursuing their Associate in Applied Science degree or workforce credentials such as Paramedic Certificate or Emergency Medical Technician Certificate, local fire departments and specialized services will use the center for ongoing training programs.
